10th April: DARK MATTER Live Performances

8.15pm - BlackMoon1348

Tibetan doom from the depths of a clandestine cave, lying high on a mountain peak. We will be testing out a new live performance set, experimenting with throat singing and chanting, to be used with Tibetan monks who will be joining us live later this year. https://blackmoon1348.bandcamp.com

9.15pm - Smith & Steinsdotter

present "I.S.I.S unveiled" an exploration of the displacement of the goddess energy in the context of our modern state of war. It is an eruption of poetic dissent set to an uncompromising sound piece.

10.15pm - Samuel Kilcoyne, Takatsuna Mukai, with Stanley Schtinter

will showcase their forthcoming live soundtrack performance in Amsterdam as a part of the retrospective (and the 90th birthday celebration of) an acclaimed Dutch film

maker Frans Zwartjes. They will play new interpretations of Zwartjes’ soundtracks for ‘Spectator’(1970), ‘Anamnesis’(1969), and ‘Living’(1971) More About the Artists:

Samuel Kilcoyne is a musician and composer born and living in Camberwell, South East London. Samuel was a member of electronic group (S.C.U.M) (Mute Records), and since disbanding in 2012 he has been living and composing works for Dance Theatre and film in Copenhagen, Berlin and London as well as working with a selection of musicians for a project founded in 2010 (Patent Saints).

His Compositions mainly consisting of Organ and electronics.

Takatsuna Mukai is a London based composer, musician and producer originally from Japan.

His last full album release was critically acclaimed ‘Śūnya’ (2013)

He is also known for his collaborations with artists of various disciplines; Poetry (Timothy Turnbull, Phil Dirtbox), Video/Sculpture (Malcolm Poynter), Digital Live Art (Kimatica), Fashion (Charles of

London), Experimental Theatre (Dragan Živadinov/NSK).

www.takatsuna.com Smith is a vocalist and electronic producer who has performed her work internationally alongside artists such as The Libertines, Clor, Midnight Juggernauts, Crim3s and Zebra Katz. As well as contributions to several film scores, one of her original compositions has been included in the permanent collection at MOMA. Norwegian songwriter and vocalist Steinsdotter; whose work is steeped in the mythos and customs of her homeland, will be performing I.S.I.S unveiled as one of her first experimental liveworks in London. S. Schtinter is a filmmaker and programmer based on Airbnb. He is the founder of purge.xxx, a Liberated Film banner for events and products which aren't designed to make you hate yourself. He is also the arranger and producer of Frans Zwartjes' music, and will premiere his documentary on Zwartjes at the EYE Filmmuseum in Amsterdam later this year.
