CRISPS

CRISPS was a graphic designer working for music industry clients until he decided to focus his creative energy on self motivated artwork and the exploration of his own creative ideas. He shut down his mac, began painting with acrylics, went outside and spray painted on walls and also discovered a love for silk screen printing.

Many of his early works represented 3D shapes and objects, optical illusions and geometric designs drawn from his his love of Pop and Op art and his day job as a CAD designer.

He continues to paint and print abstracted geometric forms. As his work gathers momentum and coherence, graffiti and street art influences blend with pop art screen printing techniques and graphic design aesthetics coincide with optical effects.

His work is bright bold and abstract, usually conceptual and occasionally commercially successful.
