We will embrace the psychotropic pop-art take on European court painting inspired by Will Teather Solo Exhibition, London Bridge “Maximalist Banquet” (on show at The Underdog London 7-25 September). Come and see Will's fluorescent and supernatural reinterpretations of Tudor portraits come to life through the costumed poses from THREE models, Carla, Manko, and the AMC debutant, Thomas Eliott!
But there’s more! For a truly immersive experience of life art fuelled by live music, which have been so popular at Art Model Collective sessions, musicians Takatsuna Mukai and JF Whitney will provide improvised backdrops in the spirit of Tudor Psychedelia to accompany the session.
Takatsuna Mukai is a multi-instrumentalist/composer/producer, currently in the band Call Cat with Hannah Marsden. Previous collaborators include Dragan Živadinov (NSK), Malcolm Poynter, and Kimatica Studio. http://takatsuna.com
Musician, composer and artist JF Whitney has performed around the world, appeared on 70+ record releases and still found time to make more than 20 short films. He’s played with bands such as The Flaming Stars, Minxus, and The Urban Voodoo Machine. http://www.flytowhitneysmoon.com
Please join us for a feast of art, sound and life drawing in this medieval banquet at Underdog Gallery, just a few minute walk from London Bridge!
