Tues 6th Mar: AMC Life Drawing

Our latest fashion collaboration is with Engineers of Desire, London’s great independent brand that designs and hand makes visually stunning corsetry for the post-punk Mad Max generation. Collaborations with designers from all disciplines is always a fascinating way to deliciously submerge yourself in the imaginary creative world of like minded souls. Joining forces with Cas, the creative drive behind this brand, will allow us to celebrate her aesthetics, giving them our own individual twist by becoming warriors in her battle against the conventions of beauty, while also embodying her alternative visions of style. Expect visually stunning, hand made corsetry and subversive accessories, modelled by both Manko and Carla, that will take you on a journey from dark Vintage Vampiresque through to Carnival Grotesque, and finally on to Chic post-Apocalyptic Fetish wear. There will also be lots of shiny, thick fabrics and a perfect mix of nudity, with powerfully eclectic embellishments, as well as eccentric beauty, gas masks, and lots of armour-like Retro Futuristic pieces to draw. _____________________________ All levels welcome Hosted by Jason Atomic Admission on the door: £15 (As usual, we welcome other life models who have worked with AMC before to come and draw free of charge) We'll have some free art materials for spontaneously visiting artists, but as always, please bring your favourite tools.
