Chop What? We are really excited to announce that the first edition of Chop Shop "Beat Market and Beat Battle" is here! This event has been a long time coming but thanks to our hard working team we made it happen! This is a whole day event divided into 2 parts. Firstly it`s a BEAT MARKET where 20 producers are given the opportunity to be professionally represented and to sell their beats straight to MCs and singers.
This is taking place between 1pm and 7pm and its FREE to attend for all visitors! All Beat Market sellers will be supplied with an iPad locked into an exhibition stand where you can play your music from and a custom made Chop Shop T-Shirt to distinguish the "Beat Vendors".
This is your chance to be the sales man and generate revenue for yourself while expanding your networks! All income is to be kept by the seller, its a Cash Only event!
This is taking place between 8pm and 1am and its £7 in advance to attend.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HOW TO ENTER THE BEATMARKET - Submit links of your production to this email: click here - Use "BEATMARKET SUBMISSIONS" as subject of the email (if you don't, it will go to the trash folder and we will never see it) - Your tracks will be reviewed by the Chop Shop Team - If you are chosen, you will receive an official confirmation email which will contain instructions on how to pay the £30 entry fee - Once you receive the confirmation email you need to make the payment asap but at the latest by 5th of December - Your place will be forfeited if we do not receive the payment within the 10 days (so that we can give other producers the chance to enter) There will also be other vendors selling various items: vinyl, clothing and beats related items. Secondly, it is a BEAT BATTLE, but not an ordinary Beat Battle! We have 2 categories to represent all aspects of production/performance! In both categories, competitors will perform one after another than a winner will be chosen, there is no battling against an opponent. Beat Battle will take place between 8pm and 1am accompanied by live PAs. Tickets are going for £7 in advance. First is the DOPE BEAT CATEGORY, where the DJ will play your beats while you pose on the stage.

During the night we have Parallax, Y-ETizm and MYSDIGGI (FKA MYSTRO) & DJ LOK blessing the stage with live perfromances! Y-ETizm Y-ETizm, your local MPC guy, the one-man band, will blow you away with his insane live show covering multiple genres with his fingers ranging from jazz to dubstep. Energetically working the machinery on stage, seamlessly creating a live show by engineering tracks from scratch and mixing them into new songs. He is a genius, who has got the recipe for success thanks to his hard work and qualities. He is very much focused on live sets and performance, mixing as many complex rhythms and harmonies as he could. His love of music shines through in his production and live shows. Parallax Parallax is a London based conscious and lyrically adept emcee and producer who has already worked with the likes of Rakaa Iriscience from Dilated people's and Life Mc from Phi life cypher. He's also been recognised by names such as Raekwon, Mr Scruff, Guilty Simpson, Diamond D and more, which could be one of the reasons he's sold phyisical copies of his 'Depth Perception EP' in twelve countries!
